Patthakorn EP4/2 #10 In your own words, please answer the following questions below about AI in Education. For your answer write a small clear description/ paragraph. Save the word doc with your name and email it back to me. • Q1. Where is AI going in the next five years and how will it impact teaching and learning? In the next five years, I believe that AI will become even smarter and will be used in more fields such as entertainment and services due its rapid growth in the past few years. In terms of teaching and learning, teachers will be able to use AI to customize assignments and activities more creatively to make lessons more effective and enjoyable. For students, AI will support them by giving assistance in tasks that they don’t understand and give feedbacks to the work they do. • Q2. What are do you think are the main concerns with using AI for schools? Students may misuse AI to find shortcuts to finishing their work instead of using them as a tool to help you learn and improve. Teachers may find it difficult to detect whether it’s an AI work or not due to its ability to adjust to what you commanded them to do. • Q3. How can AI Practically improve our daily lives? AI can be very useful to us by many uses such as when you have a concern about a health condition you have, you can easily describe your symptoms to the AI and they can generally identify your condition. Virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa have already been used in many houses to perform tasks such as controlling the lights in your house or telling you weather information without hopping on your phone. • Q4. Do you think AI is a good thing or bad thing, and why? They can be both good and bad depending on how you use it because being too dependent on AI can wear down critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. In the contrast, AI can enhance people’s lives in many ways such as a daily life tool, improving learners, or in job tasks.
