One example is that the United States is establishing a state department called the “Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy” which aims to ensure that the US is at the forefront of developing cybersecurity standards and to build international partnerships to counter malicious cyber actors. This will help the United States use important information from their allies to minimize cyber attacks in the future especially on the infrastructure. In addition to this, earlier this year the EU enacted new cyber laws for consumer products. It ensures that companies implement proper cybersecurity rules such as stronger password policies and multi-factor authentication on their products. It ensures to protect consumers from criminals stealing their personal information online and in company databases.
