quality caused by traffic smog, sandstorms, or industrial pollution.
The Indoor Air Quality Hazards Standard covers indoor environments which encompass offices, control
rooms, living accommodation, rest areas and other indoor facilities associated with an organisation.
7.6.
PSYCHOSOCIAL HAZARDS
The term ‘psychosocial’ refers to the interrelationships between individuals, thoughts and behaviours,
and their social environment. Psychosocial risk is the likelihood that psychosocial factors will have a
hazardous influence on employees’ health through their perceptions and experience and the severity of
ill health that can be caused by exposure to them.
