Communication Technology”
 It is the integration of
Information Technology (IT) &
Communication Technology.
 It refers to the acquisition,
processing, storage, and
dissemination of vocal, pictorial,
textual and numerical
information by microelectronics
-based combination of
computing and
telecommunicating. (Karl, 1961)

 Microsoft Office is a suite of desktop productivity
applications that is designed specifically by Microsoft
for business use. It is a proprietary product of
Microsoft Corporation and was first released in 1990.
For decades, MS Office has been a dominant model in
delivering modern office-related document-handling
software environments.
 Generally, Microsoft is a form of application software
used to create, edit, format, tabulate & present data and
information.
 The six core programs in Microsoft Office are: Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, & OneNote.
MICROSOFT WORD
 This is a word processing application that enables us
to create, edit and format both simple and complex
documents. Ms-Word window is a well-arranged
interface consisting of Title bar, Quick Access
Toolbar, rulers, ribbons, work area, etc.
 Some general features of Ms-Word include; Home,
Insert, Page Layout, Design, Reference and Review.
 Application of Ms-Word cut across all sphere of life
as it allows users to do write-ups, build documents,
resumes, records, instruction documents, or a letter
to another person and serves as one of the most
regularly used programs under the Office suite.

MICROSOFT EXCEL
 Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program used to
store and organize data in a table, in form of rows
and columns.
 It provides several features to perform various
operations like mathematical calculations, graph
tools, pivot tables, macro programming, etc.
 Some of its features are; Home, Insert, Page Layout,
Formulas, Data, Review, and View.
 Ms-Excel has a graphical feature to represent and
analyze data in charts and pictorial format.

MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
 It is the most advanced form of Microsoft used for
presentation of data and information in form of a slide
show. PowerPoint offers word processing, drawing,
outlining, graphing, and presentation management
tools.
 The general features of Ms PowerPoint include; Home,
Insert, Design, Transitions, Animations, Slide Show,
Review, View, and Format.
 As both graphics and text can be combined in a
presentation, it is extremely valuable in business,
marketing, education and other professional practice.
