Our client is a pioneer in providing innovative shipping & logistics, clearing and forwarding
solutions and are part of a global logistics, warehousing & shipping group. They have retained our
services to hire for the position of Sales Executive to be based at their Nairobi office. Prospective
candidates are expected to have well developed and demonstrable, negotiation & analytical
skills, numeracy & computing skills backed by good oral and written communication skills.
Sales/ Business Development Executive- Nairobi
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead generation through different channels
2. Offer clients solutions to meet their needs.
3. Closing deals, follow up on payments and debtors.
4. Present company offerings to potential clients as part of business development.
5. Follow up RFPs/ RFQs and manage tendering process.
6. Provide superior customer service and create long-term relationships with clients.
Requirements and skills
4+ years experience in sales / business development within the shipping and logistics industry.
Minimum graduate/ diploma level education, shipping and warehousing certifications would be an
added advantage.
3+ years’ experience in sales/ business development within the clearing and forwarding and
shipping industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Thorough understanding of marketing/ sales and negotiation techniques.
Fast learner with a passion for sales.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
