YOUR BABY HAS
DIAPER RASH IF
you can see these in the diaper area:
Red, inflamed skin, including the
buttocks, thighs, and genitals.
Itchy and tender skin
Sores or bumps
Discomfort, fussiness, or crying,
especially during diaper changes.
PREVENTION OF
DIAPER RASH
Change diapers often
Rinse the baby's buttocks with
warm water as part of each
diaper change.
Gently pat the skin dry with a
clean towel or let it air dry.
Apply cream, paste or
ointment regularly
After changing diapers, wash
your hands well.
Fasten diapers securely but
not too tight.
Give the baby's buttocks
more time without a diaper.
HOW TO BATHE
THE BABY?
1. Wash your hands
2. Choose a gentle, babycleanser for washing
3. Check water temperature. It
should be 37.7-40°C.
4. Wet baby's hair and apply
shampoo, do not put pressure
on the soft spot on their
head.
Rinse
the
hair
thoroughly.
5. Always support the baby's
head and neck during the
bath
6. Use a soft cloth to wash the
baby's body, from the head to
the feet. Rinse off all soap.
7. Begin with a clean cloth to
wash the face, then move to
the body and diaper area,
carefully wipe away from the
eyes and mouth and into the
creases.
8. Pat the baby dry with a towel
or blanket, avoiding rubbing
the skin. Once dry, dress the
baby to keep it warm.
