CRTi® & CRTe® Casing Running Tool Training ENSURE YOUR SUCCESS Proper training and education is essential when it comes to ensuring safe and efficient performance of your equipment and reducing your overall cost of ownership. By learning pertinent requirements for maintenance and operation of your CRTi® or CRTe® casing running tools you will set yourself up for success right from the start. Our highly qualified team of Volant Certified Trainers will work with your team and provide the appropriate training to ensure the best chances at success. Volant’s training program removes uncertainty and helps avoid unnecessary repairs and costly down time. Two levels of training are offered and available for the life of the equipment. Level 1 Training Level 2 Training • • • • • Level 1 Review º All attendees should have Level 1 Certification. º Typically performed approximately one year after completion of Level 1. • Utilizes API Inspection Guidelines • Introduction to Cat 3 & 4 Inspection • Technical Development and Assessment Basic Operating Principles Key Points of Inspection Tool Assembly Job Planning and Troubleshooting Duration: 5 shop/classroom days. Additional days required to complete field run is dependent on job duration and scheduling. Level 1 training should be conducted: • Prior to equipment being put into operation by first time/untrained users. • When new staff, operations or equipment are added. • As a refresher for staff who may require it. Duration: 3 shop/classroom days. Level 2 training focuses on: • Training and completion of the annual Category 3 Maintenance as per API RP 8B recommendations. • Assessing and correcting any deficiencies in current maintenance programs or operating procedures. *Additional training is available for complimentary CRT products. CERTIFICATION AND SUPPORT Running Volant equipment with certified technicians helps ensure operational success and can set you apart in the industry. Volant certified trainers will evaluate trainees based on technical strength, problem solving skills, quality of work, leadership and communication skills. Certificates of Completion are provided to the successful participants, along with access to the Volant Client Portal for up-to-date product and reference material. Additional field training is available upon request to help assist with new projects and highprofile job requirements. WHO SHOULD RECEIVE TRAINING? • Maintenance Staff – Individuals with a mechanical background possessing a keen attention to detail and a willingness to learn. • Operations Staff – Basic casing running experience along with the ability to communicate effectively and give clear direction. The CRT operator trains and supervises drillers and provides support when required. • Drilling and Rig Crews – Instruction on tool function, operational procedures and basic troubleshooting.
