Read the following passage and then complete the task below:
Mrs Smith is in the mall. She wants to buy
clothes for her family. First, she went into
Marks and Spencer. She bought two T- shirts,
a pair of jeans and a winter coat for her son.
Then she bought a lovely skirt and a jacket for
her daughter. When she went to the men’s
department, she found nice shirts for her
husband and pairs of trousers. After paying for all the clothes for her
husband and children, she went to Primark. She wanted to buy a pair of
pyjamas and a dressing gown for her daughter.There were also lovely
slippers on sale which she bought. The last shop she went to was New Look.
She found a beautiful red cardigan, a silk purple blouse and an evening
dress which she bought for herself. After all that shopping, she was really
tired. Mrs Smith decided to take a rest at Costa and drink a cup of coffee
and eat a piece of chocolate cake.

Katy goes shopping
Katy is very excited,her class is having a
party on Friday because school is closing for
the summer holidays. So today she is going
shopping with her mum and her friends Pamela
and Jenny, they are going to buy something
nice for the party. She gets up early and she
is eating breakfast when her friends arrive at
her house.
They all have some cereal and orange juice
together and talk about what they want to
buy. “I want a pretty pink dress, “ says Jenny.
“I want a skirt with flowers and a white tshirt,” says Pamela, “ I don’t know what I want
to buy,” says Katy. “Something nice and not
too expensive.”
Katy’s mum drives them to the mall, they go
into a large shop and look at all the clothes.
There are so many and they don’t know where
to look first. Katy chooses some jeans and
shorts and Jenny looks at a pink dress and a
yellow one. “ Try them on,” says Katy’s mum. Katy and Jenny take their clothes and
Pamela takes blue skirt and flowery skirt. They put on the clothes and look in the
mirror, they are happy with their things and decide to buy some of them.
Jenny buys a pink dress and pink sandals. Pamela buys a long, skirt with small
flowers on it, a white t-shirt and black sandals. Katy chooses pink shorts and a tshirt with a pink heart on it. “You all look so pretty in your new clothes, I’m sure you
will have such a great time at the party.” They all go to the café to have some icecream and juice before they go home.
