activate your payroll subscription and download the latest updates:
 Close all QuickBooks company files.
 Restart your computer.
 Open QuickBooks Desktop.
 Navigate to Employees.
 Select My Payroll Service.
 Click Manage Service Key.
 Check that the Service Name and Status are correct and marked as Active.
 Click Edit to review the product service key number.
 If it’s incorrect, enter the correct number.
 Click Next, uncheck the Open Payroll Setup box, and then click Finish.
 This process will automatically download the most recent payroll updates.
 Close QuickBooks.
 Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
 Save the file.
 Open the downloaded file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
 Follow the installation steps.
 Open the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
 Double-click the Tool Hub icon.
 If you can’t access the tool, then go to the Windows search box.
 Search for QuickBooks Tool Hub.

 Go to Program Problems.
 Select Quick Fix My Program.
 It will shut down background processes.

Press the Windows key + E.

Open File Explorer:

Navigate to This PC.

After that, open Local Disk C.

Go to Program Files (x86), then the Intuit folder.

Open the QuickBooks Desktop folder that depicts your QuickBooks version.

Access the Components folder.

Open the Payroll folder.

Right-click the CPS folder.

Then, select Rename.

Now, you need to enter a new name.

Press Enter.



