Objectives:
In the end of this session, Farmer will have learned the following
1. Formulate feed to ensure rapid and efficient weight gain in swine
2. Formulate feed to achieve desired results while controlling expenses and reducing
waste.
3. Formulate diets to influence fat composition and muscle development for optimal meat
quality.
4. Adjust formulations to meet the specific needs of different growth phases, from
weaning to finishing.
5. suit feed formulations to meet the specific nutritional needs of different stages, from
weaning to finishing.
Expected Outputs
 Gain a solid understanding of swine nutritional needs and feed formulation principles.
 Be able to formulate balanced feed rations for different growth stages and production goals.
