Artis Q
Biplane flat detector system for interventional imaging
The Artis Q with PURE® is a visionary
breakthrough in X-ray generation
and detection that takes performance and precision to an unprecedented level:
Performance with a revolutionary
new imaging chain and precision
with new applications opening the
path to more personalized therapies.
Artis Q offers unparalleled performance with a revolutionary new
X-ray imaging chain plus new
applications for more precise and
personalized therapy.
Artis Q and its flexible configuration
capabilities enable tailoring to:
– Interventional radiology
– Hybrid procedures
– General vascular applications
– Interventional cardiology
– Electrophysiology
– Pediatric cardiology
– Minimally invasive surgical
angiography
Performance
Artis Q with PURE® is powered by the
new GIGALIX X-ray tube.
The GIGALIX has been entirely designed
around the unique flat-emitter techno
logy that enables powerful short
pulses generated on small squareshaped focal spots. This allows a clear
visualization of small devices and
vessels – static or in motion – in most
challenging angulations and in obese
patients.
CLEARpulse optimizes the X-ray pulse
in two ways: the high pulse power
allows for additional filtration to reduce
radiation and shorter pulse length
to clearly visualize moving v essels
and objects like coronary arteries.
In addition to X-ray generation,
detection is crucial for high image
quality. The Artis Q is available with a
new optimized large detector with
high dynamic range. This detector is
designed especially to deliver high
image quality with syngo DynaCT*.
The 16-bit analog/digital converter
enables a high dynamic range leading
to enhanced soft tissue contrast in 3D
imaging.
Beside the new large detector,
Artis Q is also available with a small
detector especially designed for
interventional cardiology.
2
To complement the imaging chain for
optimized post-processing and dose
reduction, Artis Q includes the
CARE+CLEAR packages.
The CARE package helps to reduce
radiation for the operator and patient.
The CLEAR package offers a com
prehensive range of applications to
enhance image quality.
Precision
Artis Q drives innovation further with
advanced applications to support
precise guidance during interventions.
In cardiology, new CLEARstent Live*
enhances visualization of stents in
real time. IVUSmap* allows for coregistration of intra-vascular ultrasound (IVUS) and angiography
images.
For advanced interventional pro
cedures, precision is defined by series
of advanced 3D tools, including
syngo DynaCT Micro* to visualize the
smallest devices, and syngo DynaPBV
Body*, which establishes 3D functional imaging in the body.

Artis Q
Biplane flat detector system for interventional imaging
Position Flexibility
The Artis Q biplane system offers high
positioning flexibility and excellent
patient access for biplane imaging.
The floor rotation point with motorized
swivel from the head-end position to
a left-side position enables free head
access and long coverage from head
to toe in biplane mode.
MULTISPACE.F* offers further enhanced
positioning of the floor-mounted
C-arm relative to the table using stand
rotation.
This allows access to the patient’s left
side, e.g. for pacemaker implantations.
A special orthogonal position with
rotated table enables a free access to
the patient for hybrid procedures
(i.e. EVAR procedures).
4
Not all features shown are necessarily
standard and available in all countries.
For increased imaging comfort, IsoTilt
maintains the projection angle during
table tilting and Straight View maintains heads-up image display for all
C-arm and table positions.
Alternatively Artis Q can be equipped
with surgery patient table from
Maquet Magnus with FD 30 x 40.**

* Option; 2 Only on cardiac acquisition scenes
Artis Q
Biplane-mounted system for interventional imaging
Advanced applications
IVUSmap*
Integrated cardiac workflow simultaneously records of IVUS and X-ray images and subsequent co-registration
Synchronized navigation in angiography or IVUS images along the coronary artery, allowing for measurement of areas and
distances and insertion of bookmarks
Automated workflow guided by touch screen display
Works exclusively with Volcano® IVUS systems 2)
CLEARstent*
Uses an image-quality optimized algorithm to improve the visibility of the deployed stent during cardiac interventions
Optionally, contrast can be given. CLEARstent then calculates a scene alternating between the contrast-filled lumen and
the stent-enhanced image.
Resulting images and scenes can be archived in PACS and reviewed on any DICOM viewer
CLEARstent Live*
CLEARstent Live improves visibility of stents and balloons or other devices in real time, in relation to cardiac anatomy or
previously deployed, for cardiac interventions.
CLEARstent Live supports frame rates up to 15 fps
Works even when the balloon is moved within the coronary vessel or contrast agent is injected, allowing precise stent
positioning relative to previously implanted stents and/or vessel anatomy, therefore facilitating complex procedures
Processed images are displayed side by side with original scene on assist monitor (when present, otherwise on reference
monitor)
CLEARstent Live scenes are automatically saved to scene directory allowing for review of resulting DICOM images on any
DICOM viewer
IZ3D*
IZ3D offers automated detection and 3D analysis of single and bifurcated coronary arteries from 2D angiographic images.
Out-of-plane magnification and foreshortening errors are minimized by calculating true geometric shape in 3D space from
two 2D X-ray projections.
In stent planning mode, a virtual stent can be specified. This virtual stent is then displayed in the 3D image and
corresponding markers are overlaid onto live fluoro and acquisition.
IZ3D Store
IZ3D Store* allows to export the 3D data set generated via IZ3D. The result is stored in STL-format and can be used for
scientific 3rd party applications.
* Option; 2) With non-mobile IVUS systems
