I believe I am a good fit for the CITY program internship because I excel in team-based
environments and enjoy finding potential solutions to any given problems. I participated in the COMAP
mathematical modeling competition this year and enjoyed the critical thinking that the event relied on,
as well as the ability to work with a team to find our own unique solution to the problem we had
chosen. In addition to COMAP, I also have experience looking at the issues Youngstown is facing as I
have had projects focused on finding solutions to problems that the Youngstown community faces. M y
group and I found solutions to our problems that were possible, but may have oversimplified the issues
as well as the solutions, and I would enjoy being able to investigate these problems on a more
professional level. I believe with the opportunity to engage in a project with several of my peers, we will
be able to find an adequate solution to the given problem.
