Cone producing plants and Spores producing plants Both cone producing and spores producing plants are non-flowering plants. They use their spores and cones to reproduce. Cone producing plants are Pine tree, Spruce and Fir tree. They have needle-like leaves and wax coated to prevent from losing water. They also have shallow roots that spread out wide. They are mostly evergreen trees. With the female cones it can reproduce because of the little seeds inside it. Spores producing plants are mosses, ferns and hornworts. Spores are much smaller than seeds and they can resist high temperature. They can be found in deserts and rainforest. They reproduce by parent plants sending out tiny spores containing special sets of chromosomes.
