response to inquiry email template
Use this document to create your own template response when
a client inquires about licensing or buying your artwork. It will
help you flesh out their specific needs, so you can quote a price
on your work.
1. Introduction: Here, you want to greet the client and thank
them for their interest in your art (for example: Dear Tammy, it
is nice to meet you! Thank you so much for your interest in my
work).

2. Inquiries: Here, you ask for the specifics for the
license/buyout. Ask what they need the artwork for, how long
they will need it, what territory they'll need, their contact
information, if they pay a flat fee or royalty (you may want to
mention that you require an advance). A good opener for this
section could be something like, "In order to give you a price
for this work, I will need to know the following."
3. Closing the email. Finally, close your email with some
well-wishes and give tell the client what will happen after they
respond to the email (for example, "Again, thank you for your
interest. Once I receive the answer to these questions, I will be
back in touch with pricing."
