1. Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Upsell and suggest additional items to enhance the customer’s experience.
2. Order Preparation:
- Assemble and package orders according to McDonald’s standards.
- Ensure orders are accurate and complete before handing them to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front counter area.
3. Cash Handling:
- Process cash and credit/debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide correct change and receipts to customers.
- Maintain a balanced cash register and report any discrepancies to a supervisor.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operation.
- Communicate any issues or needs to shift supervisors or managers.
- Assist in training new team members as needed.
5. Hygiene and Safety:
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Regularly clean and sanitize work areas, including the counter and equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety-related ones.
6. Miscellaneous Duties:
- Replenish supplies and stock to ensure the front counter area is well-stocked.
- Participate in promotional activities and ensure the front counter area is visually
appealing such as decorating.
- Assist with other tasks as required by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move items up to a certain weight (often specified by the
