REVISION TIMETABLE FOR ENGLISH
HOW YOU SHOULD BE REVISING…
Studies show that the best way to revise and
ensure you KNOW STUFF is by regularly
QUIZZING yourself. You can do this by making
flashcards, using the ‘look, cover, write, check’
method or using apps such as memrise or
quizlet.
The best way to make sure that you can APPLY
that knowledge successfully is through
DELIBERATE PRACTICE. This involves practising
planning and writing key paragraphs and then
checking your work against model examples and
seeing if you can make improvements.
TR
Finally to ensure that you can confidently
PERFORM at your best under examination
conditions, you need to practise writing TIMED
RESPONSES. This involves setting a timer and
writing a full exam response within the specified
time. Remember to check over your work
afterwards to see where the gaps in your
knowledge are.
