It is the infrastructure and components that
enable modern computing.
The term is generally accepted to mean all
devices, networking components,
applications and systems that combined
allow people and organizations to interact in
the digital world.

COMPONENTS OF ICT
1. HARDWARE
•It is a physical technology that
works with the information.

•The software give a command to the
hardware as to what the hardware would
do.

•The primary piece of
system software is
the operating
system, such as
Windowsor iOS,
which manages the
hardware’s
operation.

specific tasks, such
as handling a
spreadsheet,
creating a document
or designing a Web.

3. TELECOMMUNICATIONS
• This component connects the
hardware from a network.
A network can be designed to tie
together computers in a specific area,
such as an office or a school, through
a local area network (LAN). If
computers are more dispersed, the
network is called a wide area network
(WAN). The internet itself can be
considered a network of networks.
4. CLOUD COMPUTING
• The term is generally used to describe
data centers available to many users
over the internet.

• A DATABASE is a place where data is collected and
from which it can be retrieved by querying it using
one or more specific criteria.

whatever form that an organization needs.
