Course Description: This course is a continuation of Field Study 01. It is school-based and allows a pre-service student to participate and assist in a limited actual teachinglearning activities that relate to assessment of learning, preparation of instructional materials, preparation of bulletin boards, and other routines in the classroom. A portfolio which will contain sample lesson or learning plans and demonstration teaching of at least one subject content area will be required. An action research shall be encouraged to start in this course and conclude during the internship. Course Policies The policies listed below may change throughout the semester, depending on the country’s health situation and other concerns. Students are responsible for learning about these changes. Announcements shall be posted on the course site. Ethical Policies: Students are expected to act with decorum in communicating with the teacher and classmates either one-on-one or in the virtual setting. Proper netiquette is expected. Academic Integrity Policy: Plagiarism shall not be tolerated. Students caught submitting papers/documents copied from others and presenting them as their own shall be given a failing grade. Policies on Absences and Tardiness: Since this is Field Study, the blended (onsite and virtual) modality shall be implemented due to the risk of COVID-19 virus. FS students shall attend to the Learning Action Cells (LAC) sessions developed and organized by the course facilitator. Attendance shall be counted as part of the number of hours to comply. Language of Instruction: Given the nature of our course, the language of instruction is English. Filipino may be used with the permission of the teacher from time to time. Bikol is discouraged because students come from various provinces with different dialects. Use of Mobile Phones and Gadgets: Since we are using the distance mode of learning, students are expected to have the necessary gadgets to access worksheets. They shall inform the teacher if they have problems accessing the course site. They can be reached at their individual email addresses placed on the first page of this syllabus.
