Medical drugs should be cheaper and available to everyone ?
Introduction
Providing people with the different kinds of medical drugs they can afford to buy is a very
important human right that should be taken care of for everybody. The current high prices of
pharmaceuticals serve as a impediment to health-care especially for marginalized people and
those in developing countries. At the same time, the general population cannot obtain the
essential drugs, which is explained by the fact that their health deteriorates, causing increased
morbidity and mortality rates.
Body Paragraph
Reasons for cutting medical drugs’ cost are persuasive as it can relieve burdens of healthcare
costs on persons and families. Paying exorbitant prices for drugs often leads many people faced
with such choices as purchasing drugs and this makes them ignore other necessities such as
food, shelter, and education. The financial strain can intensify health issues making it more
difficult to break the cycle of poverty and poor health.
Body Paragraph
Also, the supply of cheap medicinal drugs for the promotion of public health and treatment of the
diseases on the world scale should be influential. Many countries see preventable diseases
taking away their inhabitants’ lives caused by the lack of access to life-saving medications. By
making drugs cheaper and easier to access, we are able to prevent avoidable pain levels, and
reduce the spreading of infectious diseases. It does not only ensure the well-being of the
individual but is also a contributing factor to overall community and national prosperity and
stability.
Conclusion:
In summary, the high prices and the limited supply of medical drugs stand as major impediments
to healthcare access and play a role in perpetuating divergent health outcomes globally. We can
create an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to live healthy and productive
lives by assuming leadership in policies that bring down the cost of drugs and make them more
accessible.
