The children were captivated as they enacted the next thrilling chapter of
The Legend of Spud Murphy. They brainstormed new challenges and
imagined the amazing turns that could happen in the story. The
possibilities were endless!
Next, the young writers unleashed their creativity, crafting vivid kennings
with mind-bending word pictures. Their imaginative descriptions left
everyone in awe.
The budding geographers got their hands dirty, constructing a 3D model of
India's mountains and plateaus using clay and playdoh. As they sculpted,
they learned the names of each majestic peak and fascinating plateau,
uncovering fascinating facts about these natural wonders.
The students became geometry experts, measuring and calculating the
perimeter and area of all sorts of classroom objects. From chalkboards to
windows, notebooks to mirrors, they immersed themselves in the world of
shapes and measurements.
And the recycled quadrilateral family tree they created was a sight to
behold!
The children ventured outside, observing the leaves around them,
studying their veins, attachments, and arrangements. Back in the
classroom, they compiled their findings on vibrant charts.
But the adventure didn't end there - they also experimented with the
amazing forces of friction and buoyancy, using sand, marbles, and
more to uncover the secrets of the natural world.
In the financial literacy sessions, the students revisited the concepts
covered in the previous three sessions, solidifying their
understanding. They then explored the concept of SMART goals
through an engaging story, and each student was tasked with
creating their own SMART goal as homework. The class later
discussed and reviewed these goals, ensuring that the students
grasped the importance of setting specific, measurable, achievable,
relevant, and time-bound objectives. Additionally, the students
delved into the concept of simple interest, enhancing their financial
knowledge and decision-making skills.
