Not available all the time Continuously improving Others Not 100% of the students get a job after they graduated External Assessment External factors Target learners Opportunities Threats They cannot continue their learning and they have to stop There are learners who are talented but choose to work due to financial challenged Other educational institutions They can be a big competition There are educational institutions that are ready to tie up Partners and Linkages We tie up with Local Government Units and other institution that give support to educational institution Regulatory system We maintain and update the regulations every school year in order to comply on the minimum standard Technology Infrastructure We continue to build and comply to the standard Others Partners can only give limited support With all the changes in our educational system, sometime we lack on the important factor that affects the regulations of the school Due to lack of resources, we can only small technology infrastructure II. Based on your SWOT analysis, answer the following: 1. Why should your institution go to ODL (or technology enhanced learning)? How does it support our mission? -Our institution should go to ODL because this is what our learners need. As year goes by, learners develop the need of change. They become flexible in terms of way of learning. There are a lot of learners today, who are looking for a various option when it comes to delivery of learning, for example, they can still enroll even they are at home or doing some extra jobs. Not only that, the world needs a skill that can adapt to the rapid changes of technology, therefore, our school should also adapt to this kind of change. 2. Who would be your target learners? -Our target learners are those learners who are so talented but choose to quit study because they have to work. Why can’t we allow them to do work and study at the same time? So, I think, if we switch to ODL, we will make this possible. 3. What would be the focus of your ODL programs in terms of subject areas and program level (i.e., undergraduate, graduate)? What modes of delivery will you adopt for these programs? -The focus of our ODL programs can be both to undergraduate and graduate, depending on the subject areas. We will only make this possible for the courses that do not need an actual way of learning. The modes of delivery are blended. 4. What challenges do you anticipate? How do you propose to address them? -To start of anything is always a challenge. I anticipate that the first year of implementation would be not 100% success, and we will consider this as a learning process. However, as we go along, we will ensure that all the gaps will be filled in, all the failures will be addressed and corrected, and most of all, small success will be celebrated.
