ADDENDUM - April 2024 DW144 - Specification for sheet metal ductwork The following revisions have been incorporated into DW144 – Specification for sheet metal ductwork, Third Edition 2016, to reflect the content of the revised BESA publication TR19®Air - Specification for internal cleanliness and hygiene management of ventilation systems, published in April 2024. Previously, stated as a shared responsibility with the specialist cleaner, DW144, Table 20 now states that ‘for new installations, the ductwork contractor is responsible for the provision of all suitable access panels.’ The BESA Technical Committee have made the change to DW144 to reflect the specific responsibilities of the designer under the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations 2015.
