The objectives of this subject are to introduce students to the link layer and Local Area
Networks. Error control and correction techniques. Multiple Access Protocols. Ethernet.
Wireless Links. PPP. Frame Relay. ATM. Multimedia Networking and Applications. RealTime Interactive Applications. Scheduling and Policing Mechanisms. Integrated Services.
RSVP. Differentiated Services. Security in Computer Networks. Access Control; Firewalls.
SSL and TLS. Network Management.
