By 2025, the coatings used in North America on transformers and enclosures is expected to be nearly
$110M. Many OEMs follow the specifications established by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE) when choosing a coating. Sherwin-Williams Product Finishes is proud to offer a
variety of solvent, water and powder systems that meet the IEEE requirements.
There are five different IEEE specifications for the transformers and enclosures market.

The colors used most frequently for this segment are ANSI 70 Gray (high gloss) and Pad Mount Green (semi-gloss). However, Sherwin-Williams
