Narrative Report on the Evaluation of Candidates for Specific Discipline
Awards
Introduction
The evaluation process for the Specific Discipline Awards at General Tinio
National High School was initiated to recognize and honor exemplary students who
have demonstrated outstanding achievements in various disciplines. This report
outlines the procedure undertaken by the awards committee from the nomination
stage to the final approval of deserving candidates.
Nomination and Submission of Portfolios
The resolution for the Specific Discipline Awards was opened on May 14 to 15,
2024. During these two days, the school accepted nominations and endorsements
for potential awardees. Students aspiring to be recognized for their achievements
were required to submit portfolios that detailed their accomplishments and
contributions relevant to the specific awards for which they were nominated. These
portfolios served as the primary basis for evaluation.
Evaluation and Deliberation Process
Upon the submission of all portfolios, the awards committee, chaired by
Ma'am Evangeline M. Dela Cruz, Head Teacher V, OIC, SHS, commenced the
evaluation process. The committee undertook a meticulous review of each portfolio,
scrutinizing the details and verifying the authenticity of the claims made by the
nominees. The evaluation process was designed to ensure that only the most
deserving candidates were selected for each specific award category.
Committee Deliberation and Approval
Following the thorough evaluation, the awards committee engaged in
deliberation sessions to discuss and finalize the nominees for each award. The
criteria for selection were strictly adhered to, and decisions were made based on
merit and documented achievements. Once the committee reached a consensus, the
results of the evaluation and deliberation were presented to the School Principal IV,
Ma'am Adora B. Dela Cruz, for final approval.

Recognition Day
All nominees approved by the School Principal will be awarded on May 28,
2024, during the Recognition Day of General Tinio National High School. This event
will serve as a platform to celebrate the accomplishments of the awardees and
acknowledge their hard work and dedication.
Conclusion
The evaluation process for the Specific Discipline Awards was conducted with
integrity and precision, ensuring that the most deserving students are recognized for
their exceptional contributions. The collaborative efforts of the awards committee
and the final approval by the School Principal underscore the school's commitment
to fostering excellence and rewarding outstanding achievements among its learners.
