Background and Rationale
The theme of “Sumayaw, Sumunod sa Indak ng Pagbabago” will showcases the talents of Johannine students
through dancing which can enhance and develop their skills and interest in executing and choreographed different
movements in dancing. This MAPEH Month Celebration will have a varieties of festival dances in the Philippines that
will showcase not only the dance but also the culture and arts of the specific provinces in our beloved country.
In addition, MAPEH Month is an annual celebration aimed at recognizing and emphasizing the importance of Music,
Arts, Physical Education, and Health in the holistic development of individuals. This month-long event provides an
opportunity to showcase the diverse talents, skills, and knowledge gained through engaging in MAPEH subjects. This
Month serves as a reminder of the integral role that Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health play in shaping wellrounded individuals. By celebrating these subjects, we aim to inspire a lifelong appreciation for creativity, physical
fitness, and overall well-being.

Objectives
Information:
To understand the culture and arts of different festival dances in the Philippines.
To showcase the student talent in singing through the help of their class adviser that will serve as
their singing coach.
Formation:
To preserve and promote the culture and traditions of different religious and non-religious festivals
in the Philippines.
To promotes the importance of musical skills among learners.
Transformation:
To showcase the talents, skills, and creativity through dancing different religious and non-religious
festival dances
To strengthen the confidence and self-esteem among learners through interactive activities
