ACTIVITY 4 PICS 1 WORD The learners will be grouped into 3. The teacher flashes 10 pictures or words on the screen. Each group should guess what word the pictures imply. The group who got the greatest number of points, win. The teacher will process the activity as the class continues using the ART OF QUESTIONING as technique in the delivery of the lesson. QUESTIONS FOR STUDENTS 1. What do you notice on the pictures presented? 2. How were you able to guess the word? B. ANALYSIS The teacher will facilitate the learning of the students through a discussion. (Module 1: Noting Context Clues) C. ABSTRACTION The teacher asks questions about the importance of context clues for a short review of the lesson. D. APPLICATION The learners will answer a worksheet by identifying the meaning of the words through context clues used in the passage read. (See attached worksheet) E. EVALUATION Read the selection below, take note of the culture being presented, and answer the questions that follows using context clues presented on the passage. It is truly heart-warming to see that many Filipinos, despite their limited movement and resources, have found ways to help other Filipinos in battling the pandemic. Individuals and groups have expressed empathy and gratitude to various affected sectors, especially among healthcare workers who are the most exposed to the virus. According to the DOH, more than 1,000 healthcare workers have been infected with the pathogen.
