When your customers boat with Mercury Marine®, they can enjoy

product – from engine to drive, props to controls – has been proven
through exhaustive engineering and performance testing measures.
We’re so confident in all our products that we created the Mercury
Precision Rigging Program. When you use controls and rigging
components from Mercury Precision Parts® while installing a new
Mercury or MerCruiser® engine, whether a new build or repower job,
your customer receives the same warranty protection period on the
rigging components as on the engine. Additional extended coverage
is also available.
The Precision Rigging Program is a valuable tool to help you outfit
your customers with better performance and more peace of mind.
LIMITED AND CORROSION WARRANTIES
All Mercury and MerCruiser engines come with a limited warranty
that covers mechanical and electrical defects in materials and
workmanship, plus a limited corrosion warranty. Standard warranty
periods vary based on the engine model but can last up to three years.

Mercury Precision Parts products sold independently enjoy a standard
12-month limited warranty. When they’re installed along with a new
Mercury or MerCruiser engine as part of the Precision Rigging Program,
the warranty is extended to match the engine’s limited warranty. There’s
no additional paperwork for you to file on top of registering the engine.
ENHANCED PERFORMANCE FOR NEW BOATS AND REPOWER
The Mercury Precision Rigging Program is a valuable sales tool
whether your customer is rigging a new boat or repowering an old
one. All Mercury Precision Parts products are specially engineered
to enhance the performance of Mercury and MerCruiser engines, so
your customers know they’re getting the best parts and accessories
to deliver the ultimate boating experience. For repower customers
especially, new controls and rigging further extend the life of the
vessel, while the extra warranty protection afforded by the Precision
Rigging Program helps justify the upgrade.
Many compatible SmartCraft® digital technologies are also included
in the program, so customers can enjoy the latest in digital gauges
and controls, knowing the entire propulsion system is backed by the
Mercury limited warranty.
MERCURY PRODUCT PROTECTION
Through the Mercury Precision Rigging Program, your customer’s
engine and all Mercury Precision Parts products are also eligible
for a Mercury Product Protection (MPP) extended service contract
for up to five additional years. Gold Level coverage protects against
most mechanical failures, while Platinum Level coverage
protects against most mechanical and electrical failures. With
MPP, your customers can be covered for up to eight years, and
