1_3.1 Use for the intended purpose
Use for the intended purpose
It is assumed that all towing and lifting takes place under suitable physical
conditions so that the inclinations, axle pressures, stabilisation pressures,
etc. specified in the technical data can be safely observed.
•
This crane is built to the state of the art and in accordance with
recognised safety regulations.
Nevertheless, if used
inappropriately or for purposes other than its intended use, the
crane can represent a danger to the life and limb of the operator or
other persons and there is a risk of damage to the crane or other
equipment.
•
This crane has been designed exclusively for lifting and positioning
loads and may therefore not be used for transporting freight or people in a conventional sense. During operation, however, it may carry
one person per seat and trail one or two wagons carrying extra
loads such as spreader bars or other load take-ups.
The crane may also be used with additional load take-ups, even if
these have not been supplied as an option. It is, however, assumed
that the customer uses load take-ups which are suitable for the particular type of crane. If in doubt, be sure to consult the supplier.

Caution! Allowance must be made for the different lifting forces
applying in various operating situations. These are listed under
”Technical data” and in lifting capacity tables.

It should also be noted that any data given is specific to a particular
vehicle, and that vehicles of the same type may differ in some technical details.

Basically, additional suitable preventive measures should be taken
for the handling of hazardous materials of all types, e.g. highly inflammable, explosive or corrosive materials. It is expressly pointed
out that the crane is not specifically intended for the handling of
hazardous substances.

This crane is not designed for use in ex-protected areas.
•
The intended use of the crane also necessitates the observance of
the operating instructions as well as the supplementary accident
prevention regulations and industrial safety regulations.

Use in any other way is regarded as contradictory to the intended
use and is thus forbidden.
•
The crane owner alone is responsible for all risks and/or damage
occurring as a result of operation in a manner contradictory to the
intended use.
