Payroll Update Error PS036?
QuickBooks Payroll Update Error PS036 typically occurs due to incorrect
service information or inactive payroll subscription status. Here's how to fix
it:
1. Verify Your Payroll Subscription: Ensure your payroll subscription is
active. Go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Account/Billing
Information to check your status.
2. Update QB Desktop: Make sure you’re using the latest version of QB
Desktop. Go to Help > Update QB Desktop and download any available
updates.
3. Check Service Key: Verify that your service key is correct. Go to
Employees > My Payroll Service > Manage Service Key and re-enter your
service key if needed.
4. Revalidate Payroll Service Key:
Open QB Desktop.
Go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Manage Service Key.
Select your payroll service, click Next, and then Finish.
This revalidates your service key.
