Job Description Heads of House These roles are influential as they are key members of the boarding community and hence play a part in ensuring that the boarding life at TISB is safe, positive, fulfilling and happy. Responsibilities: Lead the residential community within the boarding house, setting an example and also a role model for other students through behaviour, extracurricular, academic performance, and adherence to school rules. Maintain discipline in dormitories by informing and reminding students of school expectations Organize and coordinate recreational activities, outings, and events such as Christmas Party, Dhandiya night, Independence Day , Republic Day etc. to promote a sense of community and camaraderie among on-campus community Improve residential student welfare by receiving feedback from students and create solutions to any problems Act as a medium of communication with TISB’s Senior Management team and student body Keep in touch with junior grades to ensure that there are no cases of unhappiness and discipline is maintained. Measures are taken to ensure no cases repeat in the future Organise and lead monthly meetings in their respective houses. Deputy Head of House – BIH should organise a monthly meeting in JBIH. Act as advisors to school’s decisions to represent student views Chair committees such as the boarding student council and take part in the food committee to ensure student opinions are heard Plan weekend activities alongside the Head of Boarding to ensure students feel comfortable Assist and lead the whole Prefect body
