This CAN specification is valid only for Scania Industrial Marine engines equipped with Engine Management System S6 (EMS
S6) and UI. If a change is made in the Software and hence in the Functional Software description EMS S6 but not resulting in any
changes in this specification, then only a change note will be added below. But if the Software changes are that extensive that also
this specification has to be modified, this specification will get a new Part No, also documented below.

1.4.2 How to change low idle speed with CAN messages
Step:

Send ENABLE and BRAKE until point 4 below is done
Send RES for 3.5 s
Send one ACC message to increase idling speed by 10 rpm or send one DEC message to decrease the idling speed by
10 rpm. Continue until the right idling speed has been found.

All speed engines: This is called PTO-mode 4 and has higher priority than PTO-mode 0-3, which is controlled with Cruise Control
buttons in CC/Vehicle speed and choosing mode in DLN1.
Single speed engines: This is the nominal engine speed and has higher priority than the choice in DLN1 - Nominal speed switch 1
and 2.

As soon as a active error is present the lamp is lit. If the error become passive the lamp is switched off. The error is saved in two
memory’s, twinkle code memory and error code memory. The error codes are readable with diagnostic tools and the twinkle codes
can be transmitted in this message with a request in message Cruise Control/Vehicle Speed - K “Engine Test mode switch”
