/10/ While preparing for my exam I looked over a few sites. The design of websites varies greatly, and some are more successful than others. But I must choose one and I decided to stop at imdb.com. Long story short, this site helps users to choose a movie to watch or to learn something new about movie industry. And it was a great decision because this site has a lot of features which a good website must have: 1. /Design/ Firstly, I wanna talk about the design of this particular website. It looks modern, quite simple to use, without any pop-up messages that always annoy users. All fonts look simple and cool at the same time. Same I can say about colors which harmoniously combine with one another. It is also worth mentioning that is that the amount of staff that appears on the website don’t take all the space on the page, which makes website looks even simpler. 2. /Navigation/ Secondly, navigation is an important part of any website. Fair to say that without good navigation it is extremely unpleasant to use a website. For me, the most important part of the navigation is whether a user can go back to the home page with a single click. I was pleased to notice that this site has such feature. It also has a very useful features such as a descriptive text captions for any images or graphics and easy to reach content. But what really stands out is an avoidance of separate frames which allow to divide a browser screen into separate windows with its own scrollbars. 3. /Easy of use/ It is also good to mention that this is site is extremely easy to use. All buttons and links are instinctively understandable. 4. /Accuracy/ The next part is the reliability, truthfulness, and correctness of the content on this website. While wandering around the website I noticed that all links to movie trailers leads to official YouTube channels of the company that makes the movie which is a good sign because it means that all sources are reliable and trustworthy. Finally, my conclusion is that the site is well organized, modern and must be considered as so called “good website”. /11/ At last, I decided to break my final evaluation of website into few pieces. 1. In my opinion design of the website doesn’t have any disadvantages, it looks great and modern especially chosen fonts and colors. 2. Navigation is mostly satisfying, which can be confirmed by avoidance of separate frames or quick navigation through website. However, it do have disadvantage such as a presence of search engine and the site do not have an alternative way to look for information you seek. 3. In my opinion, website is extremely easy to use.
