MIDTERM ORAL TASK Course: English 5 ABOUT THE TASK • Topic: “Talking about the people I love” • Interaction: pair work/group work • Timing: - Pairs of students should talk for 6 minutes. Both students should speak for equal amounts of time. - Groups of three students should talk for 9 minutes. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE TASK Talk about two people you know well (people in your family or close friends). In your conversation, do at least 4 of the following: - - Talk about the relationship these people have with you. Compare their personalities; how similar or different they are to one another. Talk about the things you like about them and what traits in them (or things they do) annoy you. Talk about the things they like and hate. Talk about the things you used to do together before, but you don’t do now. Talk about the challenges they have faced in their lives. Talk about how these people react to changes in their lives. Talk about indoor and outdoor activities you do when you are together. 1.
