To provide recommendations and strategies for optimizing the positive impact of extracurricular activities on students’ academic performance. To examine the academic performance of students who participate in extracurricular activities compared to those who do not. To recognize the benefits and challenges of participating in extracurricular activities from the perspective of students, teachers, and parents. Statement of Problem: 1. Why are they doing extracurricular activities? 2. How do Extracurricular activities affect the academic performances of Senior high students? 3. What are the strategies they use to maintain their academic performances? Significance of Study: This research study aims to show the impact of extracurricular activities on senior high school students and how it affects their academic performance. This study also seeks knowledge of how they will manage the advantages and disadvantages of extracurricular activities. This Study will benefit the following: Researchers - The researcher will benefit by having this study as the reference for additional information on why the majority of the students' opinions regarding the said topic it would help to analyze what are the impacts of extracurricular activities on a student's daily life. Students - This study will help the importance of having extracurricular activities and the disadvantages to their respective studies for having extracurricular activities. School - This study will help the school in a way they will know how to handle their students for more improvement and efficient way of teaching, having to lessen the burden. If it resulted in a negative effect or making the student enjoy more if it resulted in a positive effect. Scope and Delimitation: The scope of this research is to know the relationship between the students’ participation in extracurricular activities and their academic performance. Our study aims to understand the potential effects of extracurricular involvement on students’ academic achievements. This research started on February 19, 2024, up to April 19, 2024. This study will be conducted in the Center for Positive Futures and will focus on senior high students in every strand, Accounting and Business Management (ABM), Humanities and Social Science (HUMSS), Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
