Guidance for students 28 April 2024 13:25 Students with Non accounting background To start off its an interesting choice to take up the CPA exam. Its definitely profitable. I will explain a route for you You need to know the fundamentals of all the subjects. CPA is a postgraduate qualification so you need to come to that level before you can consider attempting the exams. You cant jump over this step. Plus you need to know about USA subjects. They are very different from Indian laws and accounts. Miles provides a basics in accounting lectures in their LMS. Depending on you, You will have to consider doing additional reading to get your understanding upto the mark. Its expensive to purchase american books. So I would recommend getting the books from library genesis or anna's archive. Z library is defunct. Consider your internet security when using these websites. Aside from this there is ChatGPT. Its excellent in its interpretation and can help you in the logical papers which is everything besides TCP and REG. I would say if you don't do this you probably will not understand anything significant from the regular miles classes and study materials. Doing this will take time. Its unavoidable. You will have to give a month or so extra per paper in your prep. This is the only route for you I think feasible. Students with accounting background Same starting point as above if needed. The additional reading based on your ability to solve the MCQs and TBS. Again I reiterate if there is a NEED to do additional reading DO IT. Let me know if there are any queries on Sunday.
