Go back Hamza Ali How to systemise your writing process to make it effortless You must have systems in place if you want to be effective. If you don’t, you’re making success difficult. You’ll waste valuable energy on decisions that shouldn’t be made more than once (like what you need to do and how you’ll do it). You will exist in a constant state of chaos, which is terrible for clarity. You will likely work on the wrong things because you haven’t decided what’s most important. And you will struggle to be consistent because you wrestle with uncertainty. What’s more, friction is the enemy of flow. And flow is the key to high quality creative output. Now, I’m just a student of systems, but I grew up in a military school, so discipline and routine are two qualities I care about. In this lesson, I want to help you build your routine so you can create as effectively and effortlessly as possible. Building your system A system is a set of parts working together to achieve a goal. Often, a well-functioning system can turn linear results into exponential. For example, in the ‘Make Your Words Work’ module, I give you the ‘sniper shotgun’ system to turn one idea into many more through a data-driven approach. You’ll be surprised at how effective this is. Every system needs a goal.
