Additional Information:
I recommend installing ppsspp and using the savestate function for
optimal practice. I bound my triggers to load/save state functions for the
ease of practice.
Here you can download my completed game savefile:

Unzip it (make sure there is just a folder named: “ULES00665OVER
THE HEDGE0000” with files inside) and paste it in
ppsspp_folder\memstick\PSP\SAVEDATA
Note: All of the skips presented in the guide are performed on the US version
of the game, using PPSSPP Emulator v1.17.1

Ledge Climb skip: You can jump over the first fence if you
time and space your jump right

Pipe climb skip: Time your double jump and shell roll to jump
above the sewer
Pipe section skip
Arena Skip: move towards the closed gate (where RJ will be
waiting) and lure rats to the wall. Jump on top of the rats to
climb inside the gate

Jump on the bottom triangle, and then move up right just
before you get shocked, and you can still make a jump to the

6.2.1. For the second “hard” trash, you need to throw it on the
middle part and then again onto the table, instead of
going through washing machine

Once you reach flooded jumping section , Pause and hit

Jump on top of the ledge
Once you reach the last pipe section, you can skip some
platforming by spamming jump on to the pipe - Sometimes it
doesn’t work for some reason, prolly cuz framerate tanks
(memory leak?)
Once you reach the end of the vertical section (where you
need to activate 3 pressure plates) you can just end the level
by jumping on the level end trigger

Washing machine skip
Once you finish the food section as Verne, and gain control
of RJ, you can hook onto the fish above the Boris. Then just
jump to the middle section to grab a duct tape.
