If the gas consists of only two variable components, nitrogen and oxygen, the oxygen concentration is a function of the effective molecular weight and the molecular weight of oxygen and nitrogen. Accordingly, the oxygen concentration of the gas can be calculated by measuring the temperature and propagation delay of the ultrasonic wave across the two transducers while the gas passes between the transducers. USOM-100 module uses advanced digital signal processing and ultrasonic technology to accurately measure the transmission speed of sound wave in the gas mixture, so it can accurately calculate the gas concentration. The module uses diffusion measurement, thus the flow change has little effect on the measurement. Digital signal output is adapted to microcontroller applications.
