Period: Weeks 1 to 3 of 4th Quarter Suggested Total Time Allotted: 180 minutes Materials Needed: Pen/ Pencil, Clean sheet of paper, Coloring materials Introduction Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes You have gained knowledge about career choices suited for you as you have taken your career inventory skills for guidance. You were able to accomplish the tasks regarding the awareness of the different professions and their nature of work in relation with preparation of your future profession. Let’s Try This Suggested Time Allotment: 50 minutes 1. Try to enumerate the different needs your family and community has to provide during the pandemic. 2. Draw and label the following needs you can identify. 3. Write your answers in a sheet of paper. Processing Questions: 1. What did you feel while doing the activity? 2. How did your family or community provide the needs you have mentioned in the activity? 3. After learning the different needs of your family and community, what ways can you give to help in providing those needs? Let’s Explore This Suggested Time Allotment: 30 minutes 1. Imagine the time when the whole country has been placed under quarantine to keep everyone safe during the outbreak of the virus. 2. Illustrate based on your observation how did your family and the community survived the months where everyone has to stay at home. 3. Identify the people around you who extended help in your family and in the community. 4. You can color your drawing with brief explanation on it to make your artwork more attractive. What is the importance of helping one another? Keep in Mind Suggested Time Allotment: 30 minutes When the time our country was declared under quarantine, a lot of families in your community experienced difficulty on how they will survive on their everyday living. There were heads of the families who lost their jobs locally and even abroad. The struggle that everyone has witnessed, moved the hearts of the many who is capable of lending a hand in order to survive their foods on their plates. Local and foreign companies, artists, or Non-Government Organizations come up with campaign drives to fund the need for food, clothing, and medical supplies for COVID patients and for the frontlines all around the world. The camaraderie you have witnessed revealed how mankind can make a difference with their gesture of kindness on different ways. You as a child can transform one’s life even in your own little ways. Sharing your old clothes and toys can bring joy to those less fortunate ones whose parents at this point in time can’t even afford to buy the essential needs of the family. Helping the family to save resources is a big thing in providing your family’s needs. You can be a part of the uplifting of the community by becoming a good law-abiding individual who just stay indoors for safety. In that way, your community will have lessened problems to attend to if you will be in support of the safety protocols they are implementing. Your little act of kindness and concern to humanity can give a big change in the lives of the many. Start now. Act today. Support your community. You Can Do It! Suggested Time Allotment: 30 minutes 1. With the assistance of your parent or guardian, try to consult them regarding the challenges your family and the community had faced during the pandemic. 2. Formulate possible actions on how to make adjustments on the life changing situation everyone had experienced. 3. Use the table below as guide.
