Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 6th Friday of Seminar in Education with the theme, “ICT: Technology is our Strength, Education is our P a s s i o n . ” M y f e l l o w s t u d e n t i n t e r n s , i t ’ s a b r e a k f o r s o m e but for us it’s another journey of professional development and hopefully a fun-filled and worthwhile experience. That’s right, even if we are not literally taking a break from our role as student interns, this training/seminar is somewhat a refresher course for us and a perfect opportunity for us to keep ourselves updated of the educational trends. Remember, you can’t give what you don’t have so if you want to give more to your students and to further your commitment in teaching, attending the virtual seminar today might just actually be a right decision. Since this event is deemed significant, let us officially commence our gathering today by asking divine intervention as Lara Victoria A. Akol, BEED- GE 4A Student Intern lead the invocation. This shall be followed by the singing of our National Anthem and GSU Hymn to be conducted by Rodelio M. Tupaz, BSED- Social Studies 4B Student Intern. Let us all stand. At this point, we shall give due recognition to the most important people of this event: To our course facilitators, Dr. Jocyl C. Caber, Ma’am Josephine G. De Asis, Sir Nelson J. Rodriguez and to our esteemed guest speaker you are the primary reason of this gathering. This virtual seminar wouldn’t be possible without your presence. Also, I acknowledge the presence of Instructor Jeffrey G. Magbanua for letting us to use the Speech Laboratory to be our venue. To formally open this virtual seminar, may I request Blessie H. Manato, BSED- Social Studies 4B Student Intern to give her words of welcome, Ma’am? Thank you Ma’am Blessie. Students spend most of their day sitting, learning in passive ways, resulting in a lack of physical activity and creativity. By utilizing dance in the classroom, students are provided opportunities to be physically active and creative throughout the school day. When students are active and using their creative minds, they can learn and perform better on academic tasks. As future educators, we should know how to energize our students before the class starts. To energize us, I would like to request Crisela G. Tutor, Renalyn T. Salarda and Jamaica Roie Ricablanca to do the energizer. Everyone, please turn on your camera, stand up and feel the groove. So how do you feel right now? I hope your tired and bored cells in your body were triggered and activated with that energizer. So, I hope you are ready to take on the challenges of today’s virtual seminar. I know you are all excited to start out seminar, so without much saying, may I request Vilma C. Camare, BEED- GE 4A Student Intern to introduce to us our guest speaker. (SPEAKER) Thank you, Sir, for that very informative and comprehensive discussion. Indeed, that when teachers are digitally literate and trained to use ICT, these approaches can lead to higher order thinking skills, provide creative and individualized options for students to express their understandings, and leave students better prepared to deal with ongoing technological change in society and the workplace. I know there’s a lot of questions circulating in your mind that needs clarification. At this juncture, the speaker is open for your questions. Who are able to ask a question from the speaker will receive 50 pesos Gcash. Just click the raise hand button if you want to be acknowledged. If there’s no more questions to our speaker, then we will proceed to the awarding of certificate. To award the certificate and token of appreciation, may I call on Jean Marie J. Dela Gente, BSED- Social Studies 4A Student Intern and Marjorie S. Galleto BSED- Social Studies 4B Student Intern. To formally end the program, may I request Renalyn T. Salarda, BSED- Filipino 4A Student Intern to give her closing message. Ma’am? In behalf of Group 6 Facilitators, we would like to thank our virtual participants, distinguish guest speaker, course facilitators for being with us today. I would like to extend my gratitude to my fellow facilitators for making this virtual seminar possible. We hope that you’ve learned a lot in today’s seminar. I would like to remind everyone to comment your course, year, and section in the chat box for your attendance. Before we forgot, lets take a picture together with our guest speaker. Please open your camera and make a smile. Today’s classrooms are full of young minds who are technologically conscious. By using a combination of audio-visual learning resources alongside the traditional blackboard, we can facilitate better learning opportunities for students. I am Cyrene A. Nasis, your host for today’s seminar. Thank you and God bless!
