Equal rights; for an instance even in an unequal world, everyone has an equal chance to live and prosper.
Interactions in a society must be devoid of prejudice based on religion, race, color, caste, or sex. It ensures equitable
asset allocation and asset distribution. Nobody suffers discrimination or unreasonable barriers to pleasure and
satisfaction. While there has been improvement in certain areas, mankind is still a long way from equality. Every
individual has an equal chance to make the most of their life and skills. It is also the concept that no one should have
fewer opportunities in life because of how they were born, what their gender identity is, where they came from, what
they believe, or if they have a condition. Individuals may not be equal in all terms, but they do have equal value.
They have equal rights and are treated equally under the law. Creating a sense of equality that extends to all groups
is critical to the development of a better community, state, and nation. Simply said, when we accept differences in
background and perspective, we learn to treat people fairly and with respect.
Why are these rights important? Consider the possibility that these rights did not extend to everyone. That
our nation, a specific set of individuals is not free to express themselves. That a group of people who are not accused
of any wrongdoing would nonetheless be monitored by the government. Equality and justice are two fundamental
principles that most countries aim towards. However, many people have unknowingly battled for justice over the
years. Many causes have looked to be noble and righteous throughout history, but in truth, most were utilized to
deceive the public into fighting for ulterior objectives of power and control. Where and when equality seems to be
most significant may be explained by freedom or opportunity. Each of our equal rights to freedom of association,
speech, and religion is also an equal right to a fair trial and the right to vote in elections. The freedom from
interference and others' control over our life is one aspect of what we value in this combination, and the fact that we
enjoy this protection on equal terms is another.
A great example is in the regulations, there is a significant commitment to gender equality. For generations,
men and women have been treated unequally, and nothing has been done about it. Giving men and women equal
rights may relieve pressure on both men and women about what their stereotyped jobs should be. Why are women
classified as the subdominant sex if equal rights would relieve strain on all humans? People frequently assumed that
women could not perform at the same level as men. Women were formerly treated unjustly owing to a lack of equality
legislation. Employers and society frequently discriminated against working-class women. Women are achieving
equality now, yet there is still a salary disparity between men and women. Women are currently in positions that
were formerly held only by males. Women should have the same rights as men, and it is up to the entire human
species to work together to achieve gender equality.
Equal opportunities; when thinking about how to create a better society, we start with the fundamental ideals
of freedom and equality in opportunities. Everyone should treat people fairly without any prejudices and biases. We
should let everyone showcase their skills and talents despite any circumstances. Equal opportunities in work are a
good example, of developing mutual respect between workers and employers, which frequently leads to enhanced
loyalty and engagement, as well as higher productivity. Equal and fair employment ensures that employees are treated
equally and that applicants are hired based on their ability rather than based on how they live. Another example is
the PWD, based on IRR OF RA 10524 Section 6. Equal Employment Opportunity, Opportunity for suitable
employment shall be open to all qualified PWDs. No PWD shall be denied access to opportunities for suitable
employment. A qualified employee with a disability shall be subject to the same terms and conditions of employment
and the same compensation, privileges, benefits, fringe benefits, incentives, or allowances as an employed ablebodied person. Everyone has a right to proper and equitable treatment. We should never invalidate someone’s skills
and abilities.
Equal treatment; equality does not mean treating everyone the same, but it does recognize that different people's
needs are sometimes best served in various ways. Treating folks fairly and equally is also an important aspect of
human rights. So, regardless of an individual's situation, they should be treated with decency, respect, and kindness.
Every single one of us is unique, and that is wonderful! However, individuals may be cruel at times, and they may
not be polite to someone different from them. This might range from ignoring them to violence and intolerance. This
would not be deemed equal treatment. Treating everyone equally entails doing the same thing for everyone. Treating
people properly is doing the correct thing for that person and addressing their specific needs.
Overall, social justice is not a "us versus them" mentality; rather, it is a "we are all in this together" mentality
in which the strong and the disempowered work together. The face of social equality has evolved with the modern
period. While rallies and marches remain popular, the Internet is being utilized to raise awareness of social justice
problems. This is seen by movements such as #blacklivesmatter and the #metoo campaign against sexual harassment.
These campaigns aim to broaden concerns into larger movements that unite activists. Aside from voting,
campaigning is one of the most fundamental means of social justice. “We are all implicated when we allow other
people to be mistreated. An absence of compassion can corrupt the decency of a community, a state, a nation.”
