Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region I SCHOOLS DIVISION OF ILOCOS NORTE ABUCAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL National Women’s Month Narrative Report Pursuant to RA 6949 S1990, Act declaring March as National Women’s Month and Division Memorandum SGOD-2023-302, the school adheres to “Purple Wednesday”, wherein teachers wear purple to signify support gender equality and women empowerment. This 2023 month's celebration marks a juncture in the advancement of women’s rights. As we begin this new era of the National Women’s Month Celebration with the hope and ambition that WE are all for Gender Equality, WE are all for an inclusive society. Abucay Elementary School, headed by Mrs. Maribelle M. Gonzales, together with the faculty members, joins the celebration of 2023 National Women's Month. The school conducted poster/slogan contest and giving messages to all women showing appreciation to the role and the importance of women thru video and was posted at Abucay ES facebook page. The said activity was initiated by Mrs. Celeste M. Melad, Master Teacher I and Grade 6 adviser. The said activity aims to inspire women and girls to empower themselves to be more productive individual.
