Summary In the present work, and given the observed increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence technologies in educational environments, the reflection around the ethical and ethical implications is developed. The need for monitoring and control of AI schemes by leaders in the educational process, and the agreement of their specifications with general guidelines given by global organizations and scholars in the field, is emphasized. The need for transparency, explanation, and accountability in the design of AI systems is advocated, to ensure that decision-making processes are fair, collaborative, and aligned with educational goals. The need for continued professional development and training of educators and leaders to navigate the ethical challenges and complexities associated with the emergence and involvement of Artificial Intelligence in education is also emphasized. In conclusion we do not wish to have overrated machines and underdeveloped human social intelligence and empathy.
