I.OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a. infer the importance of water in daily activities (S4ES-IVc-3);
b. show cooperation on the activities; and
c. demonstrate a good practice on the uses of water.

III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Prayer - Angel of God
2. Greetings
3. Checking of Attendance
4. Presentation of objectives
5. Drill:
The teacher will play the video “Move Your Body” and let
the students dance along with it.
6. Review:
The teacher will ask the learners about the previous
lesson “Sources of Water” and let them state their brief
understanding of the concept.
7. Motivation:
- The teacher will have a game called “4 Pics in 1 Word”
where the learners are going to identify the source of
water by guessing the four pictures in each number.

2. Name some of the places where water is used (Example:

The students will identify the uses of water from different sources as

IV. LESSON PROPER:
The teacher will show a video entitled “The Water Song”.
Guide Questions:
1. What was the song all about?
2. What do you think are the uses of water based on what you
have learned in the song?
3. Did you also use water just like how the person in the video
use it on their daily needs?
A. Activity:
a. The class will be divided into four groups. The members of the
group will select a leader, time keeper, reporter, noise captain and
desk organizer.
b. Each group will receive a different activity sheet. (See attached
copy of activity sheet at the last page).
c. Set of standards:
During the activity, the learners are expected to remember the
acronym SMILE:
S – Stay with your group and observe silence
M – Minimize your voice while doing the activity
I- Interact with humbleness
L – Listen and Respect others and their thought
E- Enjoy your Activity
d. Each group will be given 10 minutes to do the given task and they
will say their group yell when they finish their task. Timer will be
projected. They will be given these following materials:

Uses of Water in our Daily Activities
a) Uses of Freshwater
Freshwater is used for drinking, cleaning, washing, bathing,
preparing food, cooking and other household uses. Freshwater
also sustains plant and animal life.
b) Uses of Seawater
Seawater is the habitat of aquatic plants and animals as well
as other marine organisms. The oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, and
ponds are the habitats of most of the aquatic plants and animals
which are used mainly for food and medicine.
c) Uses of Groundwater
Groundwater is a safe source of water and considered the
cleanest water because it contains plenty of dissolved minerals
which the human body needs. It is also used for irrigation to
grow crops for our food.
D. Application
Instruction: Infer the importance of water in daily activities by
choosing the phrase from the box that matches to the picture on
the pie.
