The Effects of Visual thinking based Science learning onCreative Thinking Process and Learning Motivation ofElementary School Students*Yoon Hee SangMajor in Educational Psychology and Learning ConsultationGraduate School of EducationDaegu National University of Education(Supervised by Professor Lee Myung Sook)The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of visual thinkingbased science learning on creative thinking process and learning motivation ofelementary school students. 50 students from a elementary school in S. cityparticipated in this research and they were randomly assigned into two groups.The experimental group was composed of 25, and the control group was composedof 25. The research design was pretest-posttest control group.The results of this study were as follows:First, it was shown that visual thinking based science learning influenced to theimprovement on creative thinking process of elementary school students. Second, itwas shown that visual thinking based science learning influenced to theimprovement on learning motivation of elementary school students. As mentionedabove, visual thinking based science learning has been shown to be effective inimproving creative thinking process and learning motivation of elementary schoolstudents.The implications and suggestions for future study were described.The results of this study suggest that visual thinking based learning at schooleducation.
