We Support the Community
Special Needs Tutors only hires credentialed special needs teachers to tutor and support your special
child for their special needs learning. They specialize and focus specifically on the special needs
community by utilizing evidence-based practices for your special needs student and progress monitoring
to show achievement.
Special Needs Tutors was started by Dr. Ginger Pillitteri who saw a need to make dedicated, qualified
tutoring available for everyone in a live, virtual platform. After 20 years of classroom special education
teaching experience and working with university students who seek to become teachers, one of the
most common questions she was asked was if she could recommend quality tutors, therapists,
professionals, and services, etc. for learners with special needs. Dr. Pillitteri decided to connect this
community and make it stronger so she created SpEd Advisors which is a comprehensive, free, reviewbased special needs directory. This platform is changing the lives of hundreds of thousands of families in
this community around the world.
One aspect that was lacking was a dedicated special needs tutoring service on a large-scale in a live,
virtual format that can accommodate your child wherever or whenever you see fit. She saw that other
large-scale tutoring services accommodated the special needs community but as an add on and not the
main focus. Or they hire noncredentialed tutors, sometimes students, to teach to teach your child. We
are changing that.
With this ambitious goal, we are bringing state credentialed special needs teachers to you, and we are
able to do this in a live, virtual platform for an affordable price so everyone can have access. This way
you are totally in control. Tutoring when you need it, where you need it, and how you need it.
