Wire Load mode (default)
uses wire load models for delay estimation:
The compile_ultra command in wire load mode
runs DC Ultra without the topographical mode features
Topographical Mode
To use physical constraints on your design, you must use Design Compiler in topographical mode
run the dc_shell command with the -topographical_mode option
This mode allows you to accurately predict post-layout timing, area, and power during synthesis
Multimode, UPF mode
Both are available only in topographical mode.
Multimode
Allows you to operate the tool under multiple operating conditions(corners) and multiple modes
such as test mode and standby mode
UPF mode
Specify advanced low power methodologies
UPF file to specify low-power design intent for multivoltage designs when you use the Power Compiler tool
