Success and failure is an inevitable part of one’s development in life as there are many lessons to be learnt from these two crucial factors. Success provides an insight into our ability and represents a milestone of how much has been accomplished. In contrast, failure is an essential feature that everyone has to experience in order to improve for the future. I share the view that people learn more from failure than from success. As much as failure has a negative impact on anyone’s life, it permits one to make mistakes on where our skillset falls short of. These shortcoming gives an indication of one's potential in that moment. From this one can learn how to develop professionally and from these setbacks in order to reach their goals for next time. On the other hand, success is only a measure of how much one has achieved up to a certain point in their lives. Being victorious arises the feelings of positivity in which it is a time of celebration. In addition, it doesn’t apply an incentive to try harder or to improve whereas failure presents a motivation to refine one’s capability. In my opinion, we learn more from failure than we do from success as it is these shortcomings and drawbacks that influences us to become more competent and to set a higher standard for the next time when we want to accomplish something truly great.
