Invitation for JISMO Online Spring 2024 1 December 2023 Dear Teachers and Parents, We would like to invite your children to participate in JISMO Online Spring 2024 competition which will be held as follows. Competition Dates: Every Saturday, during the competition period of 2 Mar ’24 – 6 Apr ‘24. Online Competition • Mar ’24 : 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 • Apr ’24 : 6 Requirements: To participate in the competition, all contestants must meet the following requirements: • Have access to 2 devices, one to operate Google Form and the other to show your video during the competition, at their residence. • Demonstrate proficiency in operating Zoom and Google Form independently. • Have Zoom account with their registered names in JISMO Spring '24 • Maintain a stable and reliable internet connection. The Olympiads is available for students who will be Grade 2 to Grade 6 in March 2024. Objective: Challenge: Mathematics: Science: To encourage and motivate children to strive for higher achievement. Participants to complete 22 MCQ within 60 minutes for Grades 2 and 3. Participants to complete 20 MCQ and 2 SAQ within 60 minutes for Grades 4-6. Participants to complete 22 MCQ within 60 minutes for Grades 2 and 3. Participants to complete 20 MCQ and 2 SAQ within 60 minutes for Grades 4-6. Timeline: Commencement of Registration: 1 December 2023 Registration Due: 1 week prior to each competition date mentioned above Registration by School Teachers: Please visit JISMO website, jismo-educational.org/ to register your students. After you settled the payment for the registration fee, you will automatically have access to download past test paper, course outline, and competition guidance. School Award Category: To look for School Awards (Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards) your school needs to select the best 6 students per grade (3 for mathematics paper and another 3 for science paper) to compete with other schools in the competition. We will email you School Awards application form. Individual Awards Category: • • • • • Diamond Ruby Emerald Sapphire Good Effort : awarded to the top 1% : awarded to the next 10% : awarded to the next 10% : awarded to the next 10% : given to the next 15% (*Recognition) Legend Awards: LEGEND One-Star Award will be given to the students who won individual award 4 times in total. LEGEND Two-Star Award will be given to the students who won individual award 8 times in total. LEGEND Three-Star Award will be given to the students who won individual award 12 times in total. LEGEND Four-Star Award will be given to the students who won individual award 16 times in total.
